1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Cookwise application (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Service Description

Cookwise is an intelligent food management mobile application that allows you to:

  • Manage a food inventory with expiry date tracking
  • Generate personalized recipes through artificial intelligence
  • Plan meals and create shopping lists
  • Track your ecological impact through a gamification system
  • Receive weekly impact reports

3. Account Creation

To use the App, you must create an account by providing accurate and up-to-date information. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity on your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free Plan

The App offers a free version with limited features, including a restricted number of AI recipe generations per day.

4.2 Cookwise+

The Cookwise+ subscription is available at $3.99/month and offers:

  • Unlimited AI recipe generations
  • Access to all premium features

4.3 Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to Cookwise+ features. At the end of the trial, you will be charged unless you cancel beforehand.

4.4 Billing

Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from your Apple account settings. No refunds are given for partial periods.

5. AI-Generated Content

Recipes and suggestions generated by AI are provided for informational purposes only. Cookwise does not guarantee nutritional accuracy, food safety, or the suitability of recipes for your specific needs. Always verify allergens and dietary restrictions before preparing a meal.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • Use the App in compliance with applicable laws
  • Not attempt to bypass free plan limitations
  • Not use automated systems to access the App
  • Not copy, modify, or distribute the App’s content
  • Not use the App for illegal or harmful purposes

7. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, source code, icons, and content are the property of Anthony Scheuner and are protected by intellectual property laws. Recipes generated for you are for your personal use.

8. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We do not guarantee that the App will be free from errors or interruptions
  • We are not responsible for dietary decisions made based on the App’s suggestions
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the last 12 months

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the App’s settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account in case of violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Fribourg, Switzerland.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be notified through the App. Continued use of the App after notification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
